The Mid-Florida Milers Walking Club promotes recreational walking for fun, fitness and friendship. They will host a walk in in Orlando, in the Lake Eola Heights neighborhood, on Saturday, February 29, 2020. The Start/Finish will be at the Marks Street Senior Center, 99 E Marks St., Orlando FL 32803. Register for the walks 8:30-9:30am; plan to finish by 12:30.
Choose a distance – 5K (3.1 miles) or 10K (6.2 miles).
The route includes the new pedestrian overpass over Colonial Dr. into Downtown and continues through Lake Eola Heights, Park Lake and North Quarter areas. Suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Pets are allowed. Always carry water.
The fee is $3. Minors under 13 may walk for free unless they are walking for IVV/AVA credit.
The walk is sanctioned by the American Volkssport Association and is open to the public. Walkers are given a guide with detailed written instructions and are welcome to walk with a group, a companion, or by themselves.
After the walk, participants are welcome to join other walkers for lunch at nearby City Pub. Vehicles are welcome to stay parked at the Senior Center. Email email@example.com if interested in the lunch.

The Mid-Florida Milers have been members of America’s Walking Club for 30 years. The walks are non-competitive and follow pre-determined routes, making them an excellent activity for the whole family. The events encourage physical activity and appreciation of the outdoors. They are designed for people of all ages and levels of physical fitness.
