Seminole State College would like to invite visitors, high school and college competitors to our Social Innovations Challenge!
Groups of 2-3 students (high school or college) will choose ONE world problem to solve: poverty, environmental issues, or violence. They will prepare a solution from their perspective. Students will prepare a physical and oral presentation which will be demonstrated to a panel of judges with research about the problem. The physical display may be presented in any way the group decides such as a tri-fold board, digital format, video animation or physical model. The oral presentation must be 5-10 minutes long, with additional time for question from judges.
The winning teams from each age group will be awarded $500 Grant through the sponsoring organization to implement the project and each Member of the team will recieve $500 Scholarship for a Spain/Turkey Trip in July 2020!
The deadline to apply for the challenge is on April 12th, 2020.
The competition will be held at the Sanford/Lake Mary campus of Seminole State College on April 21st, 2020 from 7-9pm.
