Whispering Oak Elementary Honor Society and Stars of HOPE®
to Pay-it-forward Through Therapeutic Community Art
WINTER GARDEN, FL (April 2, 2020) - The National Honor Society of Whispering Oak Elementary School has invited international healing arts program, Stars of HOPE®, to their yearly community service day on April 2nd, 2020 at 15300 Stoneybrook W Pkwy, Winter Garden, FL. From 3:00pm - 4:00pm, the National Honor Society students will have the chance to paint their own Stars of HOPE with messages of hope, joy, and compassion for those recently impacted by natural and human-caused disasters. Stars of HOPE is honored to be a part of this community event with these students offering art as a therapeutic tool to spread messages of hope and healing to the greater community.
Stars of HOPE is a unique disaster response and therapeutic arts program empowering people to transform communities impacted by natural and human-caused disasters by creating and displaying colorful art and messages of hope and healing. Stars of HOPE serve as beacons of compassion and introduce therapeutic art as a tool in recovery to build the resilience of survivors, first responders, and communities. More than 100,000 volunteers worldwide have created Stars of HOPE in over 240 communities and 26 countries.
